If I want to buy Battlefield 3 is it better for me to have played Battlefield Bad Company 2?

Hey guys. I am a massive CoD fan, but MW3 looks like a redo of MW2, and I seriously don't want to buy it. I'm thinking of buying Battlefield 3, but my friends said don't buy it unless you try BFBC2. So is it better for me to buy BF3 without playing BFBC2 or will it not make much of a difference.If I want to buy Battlefield 3 is it better for me to have played Battlefield Bad Company 2?

Buy BFBC2 and play the hell out of it. Get used to the game modes and the way it plays. Also, the beta for BF3 comes out on the 29th for everyone. So I also recommend playing it when it does and getting the feel of BF3. Yea you should play Bad Company 2 first, get used to how the game plays, game modes, and learn to snipe. (Its FAR more realistic than MW2.) Then you should get BF3 once youve gotten the hang of things.
You could play it to get used to Battlefield, but playing BFBC2 is not required to be able to follow the story in singleplayer.
Dont waste your money. the game feels diffrent to CoD but you'll get used to it soon. Just like you got used to CoD. so i dont think u need to bother getting BFBC2, waste
im about to start my playstation and go online to play bfbc2 , yes you should get both bfbc2 and battlefield 3, battlefield 3 looks really really good
i would first buy bfbc2 to get used to the gameplay style which is different from cod
