Is the destruction in Battlefield 3 as awesome as everyone says it is?

I might be getting Battlefield 3 for Christmas, and I've heard all this about the destruction, which i really like in a game. I wanted to know if it is really as amazing as its made out to be?Is the destruction in Battlefield 3 as awesome as everyone says it is?
Yes. The buildings can be destroyed and collapsed(like in bad company 2) but in bf3 the general level of environmental destruction and it's effects (such as smoke and debris from explosions and sustained gunfire) gas been increased, which adds an interesting element to the battles.
What do you mean by destruction? Do you mean when things explode or what? I have the game, but I only play the online multiplayer. It's pretty cool when you destroy tanks using the engineer and using the rocket launcher. If you're in a tank and you get blown up the destructive animation is pretty cool. You might want to be more detailed in your question though.

If you are talking about the destruction of buildings and stuff, then yes, there is a lot of that sort of thing, plenty of it. Lots of detail like that in the game, you wont be disappointed.Is the destruction in Battlefield 3 as awesome as everyone says it is?
Yup. It is. You can take down trees, knife through fences. Launch a rocket at a wall and it explodes leaving a huge hole! XD Seriously it's pretty awesome.Is the destruction in Battlefield 3 as awesome as everyone says it is?
Absolutely, they're also coming out with a destruction update soon that will massively boost the level of damage you can do.
